  Em 1952, o Club de Regatas Vasco da Gama completou o ciclo do "Expresso da Vitória", que chegou ao fim de linha por absoluto envelhecimento das peças. Em sua última jornada, a engrenagem conquistou o título de campeão carioca-1952, com estes maquinistas: Moacir Barbosa, Danilo Alvim, Haroldo, Augusto da Costa, Ely do Amparo e Jorge Sacramento (em pé, da esquerda para a direita); Mário Américo (massagista), Edmur, Ipojucan, Ademir Menezes, Maneca e Chico Aramburu (agachados, na mesma ordem).

DEPOIS DISSO, O VASCO SÓ VOLTA A SER CAMPEÃO EM 1956, COM UMA NOVA GERAÇÃO.
