O nome, Adian Ajara, de uma turquinha. Mas uma morena carioquissima. A menina despontou no time de vôlei do Tijuca Tênis Clube-RJ (foto abaixo), e foi chamada para o selecionado carioca de 1955. Aliás, o vôlei era tudo na vida de Adian, que aparece na foto de cima ao lado de Heleninha. Ela trocava qualquer festa, ou papo com os meninos, pelo prazer de jogar, ou de torcer. Quando estava dentro da quadra, toda a família ia para as arquibancadas incentivá-la. Adian jogou tênis e fez natação, antes de ter uma rede pela frente. Quando passava um final de semana na chácara dos pais, em Jacarepaguá, jogava as tradicionais "peladas" de futebol, com moças e rapazes. Meia-direita, não tinha medo de caneladas. Estudante, do Instituto de Educação, pretendia ser professora. De quebra, se divertir tocando acordeon e piano. Afinadíssima! Ela e Heleninha,bom como a moçada desta equipe abaixo foram fotografadas, pro Jankiel Gongarowski, para o Nº 100 da Manchete Esportiva de 19 de outubro de 1957.
