Esta edição da revista paulista “A
Gazeta Esportiva”, que circulava quinzenalmente, mas já saiu de cena, é uma das
mais disputadas pelos colecionadores, por trazer uma bela foto do “Rei Pelé”.
Foi clicada antes de uma partida da Seleção Brasileira (na época, era raro
creditar fotos), no estádio Paulo
Machado de Carvalho, o chamado Pacaembu, poucos dias antes da viagem para o
Chile, onde a rapaziada foi buscar o bi.
Por sinal, durante a promoção chilena, Pelé sofreu
a pior contusão de sua carreira, uma lesão muscular, que o tirou de campo por
vários meses. Por causa do problema, ele só atuou nos 2 x 0 México, marcando um
gol, e em parte do 0 x 0 Tchecoeslováquia.
This edition of the São Paulo magazine "A Gazeta Esportiva",
which circulated fortnightly, but has already left the scene, is one of the
most disputed by collectors, for being capped with a beautiful photo of
"King Pele." It was clicked before a match of the Brazilian National
Team (at the time, credits in photos were rare), in the Paulo Machado de
Carvalho stadium, the so-called Pacaembu, a few days before the trip to Chile,
where the boys went to get the bi.
By the way, during the Chilean promotion, Pele suffered the worst
injury of his career, a muscle injury, which took him off the field for several
months. Because of the problem, he only acted in the 2 x 0 Mexico, scoring a
goal, and partly the 0 x 0 Czechoslovakia.
