Física no jardim de casa ...

Loira, olhos verdes, da mistura do alemão paterno com o materno austríaco. Isso foi resultar em Niura Klemm,  gatinha, de 16 anos, eleita a rainha dos Jogos das Primaveras de 1957, no Rio de Janeiro, sem que ninguém discordasse do resultado do júri.

Com 95 cm de busto e de quadris, 94 de coxas e 22 de tornozelos, ela tinha medidas ideais para o seu biótipo de campeã, de ginástica em conjunto, da maior festa esportiva da juventude carioca – promovida pelo Jornal dos Sports.

 Além de desportista, Niura experimentara, também ser bailarina. Até excursionou com o seu grupo ao norte do país. Mas a necessidade de atacar firme nos estudos tirou-a das sapatilhas. Sem problemas. Ele substituiu uma aptidão por outra também muito doce: fazer doces. Nas horas vagas, e claro. Até inventava na cozinha: melancia com ....

... pra ficar mais bela e manter a forma.

A eleição de Niura dera ao Colégio Anglo-Americano o tri da beleza nos Jogos da Primavera, e ela prosseguimento à linhagem das rainhas Dayse de Aquino Correa (1955) e Maria de Lordes (1956). A tradição da beleza no esporte havia começado em 1949, quando a representante do clube Icaraí, Margareth Schmidt, foi a coroada – e viu a filha Ingrid repetí-la, em 1953.

 Menina antenada com o seu tempo, Niura sabia dançar o ritmo da moda,  o rock´n´roll, e botava fé  no “Sputinik”, o primeiro satélite artificial lançado pelo homem, isto é , os então soviéticos. Antevendo sucesso para a era espacial que se iniciava pelo planeta, ela já sonhava assar a sua lua-de-mel na Lua.  Mas, por ora, prometia deixar a sua beleza brilhando aqui pela Terra. Afinal, beleza como a dela, na Lua não há.  

Na cozinha, menina muito inventiva...
