Aglaê, com a bola na mão direita, é a fera verde-e-amarela que salta, combatida por uma "hermana" prateada, durante o prélio em que ao Brasil venceu a Argentina, por 46 x 44, durante o Torneio Internacional de Basquetebol, disputado no ginásio Marcanãzinho, em 1956. As brasileiras foram as campeãs, vencendo, também, ao Paraguai, por 50 x 39, e ao Chile, por 40 x 38, carregando o troféu Cidade do Rio de Janeiro. As belas garotas argentinas (abaixo), ficaram em segundo lugar. As meninas do basquete foram clicadas por Jankiel Gonczarowski, para o Nº 24 da "Manchete Esportiva" que circulou com data de 5 de maio de 1956.
O objetivo desta seção é não deixa cair no esquecimento as belas atletas do passado, que tanto contribuíram par que a juventude do seu tempo tivesse uma vida repleta de emoções desportivas e muita saúde, livre de influências maléficas. Hoje, muitas delas guardam estas fotos em seus álbuns de recordação para os netinhos brincarem, dizendo: "Olh´a vovó! Como era gata!"
