  Neucy Ramos já havia mostrado o seu veneno nas disputas da modalidade arco e flecha, tendo,

inclusive, beliscado medalha de ouro nos Jogos da Primavera, promovidos, no Rio de Janeiro, pelo "Jornal dos Sports", que oferecia uma das mais lindas festas para a juventude carioca, na década-1950.  Quando foi clicada, por Jader Neves, para o Nº 83 da "Manchete Esportiva" de 22 de junho de 1957,  ela já era voleira do Botafogo.
